Who is a skin consultation for?
Anyone who wants to improve their skin but isn’t sure which treatment to choose. Whether your goal is tone, texture, fine lines, volume or overall glow, it’s a simple first step, and a good place to start if you’re new to TruWellness or to aesthetic treatments.
Book a skin consultation if you want help with:

What happens during a skin consultation?
In about 30 minutes, one of our injectors talks through your goals, takes an Aura™ 3D facial scan and looks at it with you, then builds a treatment plan around what matters most to you. The consultation is complimentary.

What does the Aura™ 3D facial scan show?
Aura™ is a Swiss-made 3D facial imaging system. In about a minute, it captures a photorealistic 3D image of your face and neck that shows volume, structure and skin detail, so you and your injector can plan together, with no guesswork from flat photos alone.
The scan is a planning tool, not a diagnosis. It helps you and your provider talk about the same thing, whether that’s skin detail or where volume has changed. TruWellness is the only practice in Newburyport with Aura™ 3D scanning.
If restoring volume is your main goal, the Sculptra® 3D Experience pairs the same scan with a personalized Sculptra® plan.
Which treatments might be in my plan?
Depending on your goals, your plan may include facials, Hydrafacial®, chemical peels, SkinPen® microneedling, AQUAGOLD® micro-infusion, injectables, Sculptra® or PRP. Here’s what each one is for.
Facials & chemical peels
Facials cleanse, exfoliate and nourish the skin. Chemical peels go further to address fine lines, acne, hyperpigmentation and uneven texture.

The skin is the envelope of the face. Without proper skincare and sun protection, cosmetic procedures won’t have nearly as much of an impact, so your plan may also include medical-grade skin care.
What should I bring, and what should I expect?
Your skin consultation is complimentary and takes about 30 minutes with one of our injectors. Bring a list of the skin care products you use and any medications and supplements you take, plus your questions. You leave with a plan, with no pressure to book a treatment.
